Voorlinden

If you're willing to pay the hefty € 15 entrance fee, the private museum Voorlinden, offers a very special collection of art.
Strikingly, some of the objects from the permanent collection must cost a fortune, even if you just consider their production. From the 18-tons "Open Ended" - made from weathering steel - by Richard Serra, the "Couple under an Umbrella" by Ron Mueck, to the - especially designed for Voorlinden - "Swimming Pool" by Leandro Erlich.
Same is true, by the way, for the museum itself. Built from natural stone and lots of glass, it makes you feel as if you're in the middle of the estate's park, wherever you are in the building.
