A stroll on the tracks

Uitnodiging alleen voor directe omwonenden om een laatste wandeling over het viaduct te lopen voor de sloop. Dat wilde natuurlijk iederéén wel. En dus werd de groep groter en groter. Van mij hadden ze ook de lokale horeca mogen uitnodigen om een tijdelijk terras te openen op het spoor en een feestje te geven....

Invitation for residents close to the railway, to take one last stroll along the old overpass before demolition. That's what everybody wanted of course and thus the group grew and grew. If it was up to me they had invited local bars & restaurants to open temporary terraces and throw a little party...

En dus waren er voor één dag mensen op het spoor. Véél mensen.....

De klassiekerhandel en de zeephandel krijgen na de sloop ruim uitzicht.

The Classic Car Shop and Soap Trader get a nice view after the demolition.

Binnenkort behoort het warrige tafreeltje links tot de verleden tijd en loopt er water, in plaats van rails, langs Molen de Roos.
Soon the chaotic image left belongs to the past and a canal, instead of tracks, will run past windmill "Molen de Roos"
