 St. Odile van de Elzas is de patroonheilige van het goede gezichtsvermogen en de Elzas. Leven doet ze niet meer - dat speelde zich tussen 662 en 720 na Christus af - maar ze heeft wel een indrukwekkend optrekje achtergelaten. De Mont Sainte-Odile ligt op een 760 meter hoge piek in de Elzas, voorzien van een muurtje van maar liefst 10 km eromheen.
De weg ernaar toe is een kleine 30 km rondrit vanaf onze B&B met typische Elzas wegen. Bossen, heuvels, slingerweggetjes en een incidentele haarspeld. Download route voor TomTom met een klik op het kaartje hiernaast.

  Saint Odile from Alsace, is the patroness of 'good eye sight' and of course the Alsace. She's no longer alive - that was between 662 and 720 AD - but left us an impressive retreat. The Mont Sainte-Odile lies on a 760 meter high peak in the Alsace with a 10 km wall around it.
