Monnickendam - Hoorn
The day the Dutch governement announced an increased beer tax we left. OK, it was just for Hoorn 12 miles or so away, to pick up Jana and Martijn but it sends a strong message. Or so I hope....

Hoorn was baking in the afternoon sun and our cabin thermometer, which was in direct sunlight, showed 59, 2°C (138°F). The first time we used our small blue trisail, to guide whatever wind we had through the cabin....
Incredibly, next day was stormy and hot. The 25 knot wind pushed us towards Enkhuizen, but the lock system was a bit too much to negotiate. So we ended up in... Monnickendam of all places! Where I pictured the 'Looney' with chick on the back, above.

Update: Sunday... We're in Enkhuizen...

Monnickendam!

Update: Zondag... We zijn in Enkhuizen...
