Etna

Etna has come to life last night. Was it a rumbling giant until today, now it sounds like an artillary barrage. The trip up was cut short by the guide, because ash and falling stones became too dangerous. Notice the vibrations in the video due to shaking of the ground...

At night, the lava stream and eruptions are quite visible from the hotel garden. We just hoped the hotel wouldn't end up like the house in the picture on the right...
