Oh yeah... This must be the ugliest place in Delft at the moment! The former dual carriage way Princess Irene Tunnel" - passing underneath the now demolished railway yard.
If I were Her Royal Highness Princess Irene of the Netherlands - her official title - I would have asked for a name change long ago...

Another controversy is the temporary Ponte Vecchio that visiting Italians take as a personal affront.

The builders have named this temporary container bridge 'Ponte Vecchio'. Visiting Italians are clearly dismayed. Somebody else had no problem translating that.... 

Ooooh... And one of the joys of taking a boat tour through Delft's canals...
