Golestan Palace

Golestan Palace is the oldest noteworthy complex in Tehran. The 'Palace of Flowers' originally was the Qajar royal family's dwelling. The oldest sections date back to the 16th century, though - after partial demolition on the Shah's orders - some sections were built as late as the 20th century sixties. Whatever, at this World Heritage Site they are very good with tiles. But who thought it was a good idea to build the architectural monstrosity behind the main building of this complex?
Who came up with this architectural disaster behind one of the most magnificent places in Tehran?
