Unremarkable Tourist Attractions

 Twee bezienswaardigheden die ik totaal onopvallend vond. Niet omdat ze insignificant zijn, maar omdat als je er naast staat denkt: "Huh? Heb ik nou 6 uur gevlogen om hiernaast te staan?"
In Passargadae staat de tombe van Cyrus II (529 VC). Ooit met gouden sarcofaag en waarschijnlijk rijk gedecoreerd, nu een huisje op een te lage piramide.
Die andere is Sarv-e Abarqu'. Een 4017 jaar oude cypres met een stam diameter van 18 meter. Ze noemen het 't oudste levende organisme ter wereld, wat niet waar is. Maar toch...  Een kaartje kopen om een boom te zien groeien?
 Two sights I found wholly unremarkable. Not because they're insignificant, but because they make you think: " Huh? Did I take a 6 hour flight to stand next to this?"
In Passargadae you find Cyrus II (529 BC) his tomb. Once it contained a golden sarcophagus and rich decorations. Today it's a little house on an under-sized pyramid.
The other is the Sarv-e Abarqu'. A 4017 years old Cypress with a trunk 18 meters wide. They call it the oldest still living organism in the world, which isn't true. But still... Buying a ticket to watch a tree grow?
