giant sequoias from
Yosemite. Trees that become over 3000 years old, up to 95 meters tall, with a 17 meter diameter. Big enough to dig a tunnel through; it has been done to some, but people really shouldn't do that to create a tourist attraction! They naturally only occur in groves on the western slopes of California's
Sierra Nevada Mountains.
